Day 135: Water Under the Washing Machine
In their flat in Wuppertal, Michaela (A) finds water on the bathroom floor and calls her husband Björn (B).
How to study this lesson 3 steps
- Read the situation under the title. It says who is talking and how they know each other, which decides how politely they speak.
- Read the dialogue line by line with its translation, until every line makes sense. Point at (or tap) a German word to see what it means.

Oh no. Well, it was already second-hand when we moved in.

Trotzdem, Handwerker sind teuer. Da kaufen wir lieber gleich eine neue.
Even so, getting someone in is expensive. We'd be better off buying a new one straight away.
