Day 131: Subletting the Professor's Flat

After a seminar in Würzburg, Rafael (A), a student, goes up to his professor, Professor Wendt (B), to ask about her flat.

How to study this lesson 3 steps
  1. Read the situation under the title. It says who is talking and how they know each other, which decides how politely they speak.

    I'm looking for one, you see! Since I started in April, I've been commuting from Schweinfurt.

    Ach so! Wichtig ist mir vor allem, dass jemand meine Pflanzen gießt.

    I see! What matters most to me is that someone waters my plants.

    Mache ich gern! Und wie hoch wäre die Miete?

    Happy to! And how much would the rent be?

    Fünfhundert warm. Wer jeden Tag pünktlich aus Schweinfurt kommt, vergisst auch meine Pflanzen nicht.

    Five hundred euros including bills. Anyone who gets here from Schweinfurt on time every day won't forget my plants either.
