Day 66: Cows With Flowers on Their Heads
On a regional train in the Allgäu, Lara (A), a young woman from Hamburg, turns to Angelika (B), a local woman sitting opposite her.
How to study this lesson 3 steps

Heute ist Viehscheid. Nachdem die Kühe den ganzen Sommer auf der Alpe verbracht haben, werden sie ins Tal getrieben.
It's the Viehscheid today. After spending the whole summer up on the mountain pastures, the cows are driven down into the valley.

Und wie! Die Kühe werden sogar geschmückt, aber nur, wenn im Sommer kein Unglück passiert ist.
You bet! The cows even get decorated, but only if there's been no accident over the summer.
