   So, Frau Geschäftsführerin, die Sitzung ist eröffnet. Einziger Punkt auf der Tagesordnung: die Bilanz deines Limonadenstands vom Flohmarkt.

   Right, Madam Managing Director, the meeting is open. The only item on the agenda: the accounts of your lemonade stand at the flea market.

   Ich habe alles in mein Heft geschrieben! Wir haben 64 Becher verkauft, für einen Euro fünfzig das Stück.

   I wrote everything down in my exercise book! We sold 64 cups, at one euro fifty each.

   Das ergibt Einnahmen von 96 Euro. Davon gehen allerdings noch die Kosten ab: zwölf Euro für Zitronen und Zucker, sechs für Minze und Pappbecher.

   That makes 96 euros in takings. But the costs still have to come off that: twelve euros for lemons and sugar, six for mint and paper cups.

   Dann bleiben also 78 Euro übrig! Aber warum haben wir am Nachmittag eigentlich so viel mehr verkauft als am Vormittag?

   So that leaves 78 euros! But why did we sell so much more in the afternoon than in the morning?

   Not so fast: 78 euros may be a handsome return, but it's a long way from a million. So what does the management plan to do with the profit?

   Die Hälfte bekommt das Tierheim, für den alten Hund, den keiner haben will. Und von der anderen Hälfte kaufe ich einen Sonnenschirm für den Stand.

   Half goes to the animal shelter, for the old dog nobody wants. And with the other half I'll buy a parasol for the stand.

   Demnach gehen 39 Euro ans Tierheim und 39 in neue Investitionen. Antrag einstimmig angenommen, die Sitzung ist geschlossen!

   That means 39 euros go to the animal shelter and 39 into new investment. Motion carried unanimously, the meeting is closed!
