Day 150: The Pharmacist Needs a Flat

At a pharmacy in Lübeck, Gerlinde Rohwedder (A), a regular customer, chats to Tarik Aydemir (B), the young pharmacist, while she pays.

How to study this lesson 3 steps

    Here, that's the exact amount. I'm moving into a smaller flat soon, by the way: the house and garden are getting too much for me.

    Ach, schade, Sie erzählen doch immer so gern von Ihren Rosen. Wollen Sie verkaufen?

    Oh, what a shame, you always love telling me about your roses. Are you going to sell?

    Nein, vermieten. Meine Enkelin sagt, ich finde am schnellsten jemanden, indem ich eine Anzeige ins Internet stelle.

    No, rent it out. My granddaughter says I'll find someone fastest by putting an ad online.

    Ich will nicht aufdringlich sein, aber meine Freundin und ich suchen seit Monaten verzweifelt. Und während wir suchen, steigen die Mieten.

    I don't want to be pushy, but my girlfriend and I have been desperately looking for months. And while we're looking, rents are going up.
